I am deleting my Facebook account and why.
I've decided that this Friday at 1 pm Pacific, I will be deleting my facebook account.
Simply put, I no longer trust Facebook or Mark Zuckerberg with my information. If deleting your account cold turkey is not something you want to do, than try http://www.reclaimprivacy.org/ and it will at least give you some protection. But even as I write this, you shouldn't have to have a privacy scanner checking your account, because facebook should not have these privacy problems in the first place.
If you want to backup your facebook info like pics, friends and whatnot use backupify which has a beta facebook backup system for you.
